At Puddle Lane Nursery, our staff team are warm, welcoming, and fun-loving. Each individual team member is a professional early years practitioner with a range of qualifications and a personal commitment to delivering an outstanding experience to all.

Every day we are motivated to bring a sense of fun to the lives of young children, showing them patience, compassion, and encouragement as we support them along their learning journey. Together we are dedicated to our play-based approach, while being open-minded to new opportunities for professional development.

Our qualifications and accreditations

As a registered childcare provider, we have undergone Disclosure Scotland and Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme registration. The Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) and General Teaching Council for Scotland (GTCS) are the registry bodies for our workforce and all members of our team have, or are working towards, the relevant qualification for their role. In addition, engagement in Continuous Professional Learning (CPL) supports us to be reflective practitioners, as it strengthens and develops our practice in how we ‘think, be and do’, which leads to better outcomes for our children. We are regulated by the Care Inspectorate and Education Scotland.

At Puddle Lane we are guided by professional codes of conduct and the values of social and play pedagogy, which are aligned to those embedded within Curriculum for Excellence and Realising the Ambition; Being Me (2020).
