Who can register for a FREE space at Puddle Lane?
Register now if your child turns 3 on or before 28th February 2027. 3 and 4-year-olds without a free place yet can also apply.
Some 2-year-olds are eligible for a free nursery places or childcare if:
- they are or have been looked after by a council, are subject to a supervision order, are in kinship or foster care, or are with an appointed guardian
- they are the child of a care-experienced parent
- their household gets a qualifying benefit as specified within the Scottish Government website.

Can I apply even if not local?
Yes! Families from any local authority can apply. The application process is submitted through Renfrewshire Council, however, you can live wherever.
Puddle Lane management will handle all cross-boundary applications on your behalf once you submit a Renfrewshire Council application.
When will I hear if we’re successfully enrolled?
Register by the end of January to hear back by May. If you apply any later, we’ll try to confirm your place as soon as possible.
Communication with our families is a high priority of Puddle Lane. We will keep in contact with you throughout the whole enrolment process.
