We welcomed the Emergency Services to our children’s nursery for an educational visit.
At Puddle Lane, children learn about different jobs and the people who make up a community. Imaginative play and storytelling support little learners understand more about the wider world around them. Within our playrooms you’ll find a construction corner, a make-believe hair and beauty studio, a costume rail and more. Children can pretend to be various characters, develop new vocabulary, gain respect for all kinds of work and even start to discover what interests them.
Learning about a range of professions is further brought to life when children meet the people who work in those roles. Our nursery was lucky enough to receive a special community visit from Scottish Fire and Rescue Service and Police Scotland. Little ones were able to meet grown-up, real-life emergency service workers and find out about the important role they play in keeping others safe.
The children thoroughly enjoyed the memorable visit.
